Field Technician | Onsite | $60,000 - $90,000 | Hartford, CT

As a Field Technician, you’ll provide onsite technical support to clients. You’ll troubleshoot issues, deploy hardware and software, and play a critical role in maintaining business continuity for a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a people-focused, high-impact role where your ability to think on your feet and deliver great customer service is just as important as your technical skillset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Onsite Support & Troubleshooting: Travel to client sites to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Act as a trusted technology partner for end users.
• Hardware & Software Deployment: Install and configure workstations, printers, servers, network equipment, and business-critical software in line with client requirements.
• User Training & Documentation: Provide hands-on training and support for users on new hardware or systems. Document technical issues, fixes, and procedures for internal and client records.
• Ticket Management: Update and close tickets through the internal ticketing system. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and SLA requirements while managing multiple client needs.
• Infrastructure Support: Assist with networking equipment, cabling, wireless troubleshooting, and peripheral setup. Support basic server and Active Directory tasks as needed.

Key Requirements:

Must haves:

• 2+ years of experience in IT support or field technician roles.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, printers, and common hardware troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently in a field-based environment.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites within the region.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Good to haves:

• Experience working with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
• Exposure to Active Directory, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and VPN troubleshooting.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant certifications.
• Familiarity with imaging tools and deployment automation.
