Major Gift Officer (Fully Formatted Job Requisition Attached Below) Mission & Values World Help is a Christian humanitarian organization serving the physical and spiritual needs of people in impoverished communities around the world. We are searching for a devout follower of Christ whose worldview correlates with the company's mission and values. Position Purpose The Major Gift Officer serves as a liaison between donors and World Help to secure funds for the organization by fulfilling the interests and passions of World Help's supporting donors, providing them with giving opportunities, and encouraging them to give. This objective is achieved through strategic planning, consistent collaboration with internal departments and external donors, executing action plans that better communicate and market to donors, and travel to meet with donors to better cultivate relationships. Together, these responsibilities allow the Major Gift Officer to ensure that World Help is retaining as many donors as possible and are upgrading in their giving and involvement. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Qualify a caseload of donors from a larger group of donors to the organization. Craft goals for each donor within caseload based on giving history and donor's potential. Create strategic action plan for each church/donor that will serve as a benchmark regarding the communication and marketing objectives for each church/donor listed on the caseload. Work with International Partnerships and Marketing departments to secure relevant project information including budgets, offers, and proposals to secure donor gifts. Report on how donor giving is making a difference in their giving area(s) and projects funded. Maintain MIC to stay appraised of the tracking, communicating, and reporting needs of donors. Create monthly reports that accurately reflect caseload activity and performance. Communicate project needs to donors based on their preference (telephone, face-to-face, or video calls) to cultivate the relationship, and secure gifts/donations on a monthly basis. Any additional duties needed to drive World Help's mission, vision, and organizational values. Your Time 60% - Caseload Management Manage & Update caseloads of 150 to 200 assigned donors. Create a strategic action plan to enhance donor communication and marketing. 20% - Visiting With Donors Travel and conduct face-to-face donor visits to cultivate long-term relationships and secure gifts/donations for World Help. 20% - Reporting Create monthly reports showcasing donor caseload activity and performance. Degree in any related field. Microsoft Word/Excel proficiency. Extensive familiarity with fundraising. Clear verbal and written communication. Preferred Skills/Education Association of Fundraising Professionals: CFRE and ACFRE accreditations. Vertius Group: Major Gift Fundraising Certification. Miscellaneous Requires sitting at desk most of the day. Will sometimes travel to visit and meet with major donors. World Help
